Tenía en mi mente una canción que iban a ser dos. Y aunque grabé guitarra española y voz, sabía que para la primera parte quería un sonido decadente donde se mezclara la voz y la música y para la Coda una progresión alucinada de acordes y pasión. Le mandé la demo a Tom Hedrick y lo entendió perfectamente. Y me sorprendió con su genialidad. En la privacidad de las pequeñas cosas, de las miradas y las conversaciones a media voz está el pequeño resquicio por el que respiran los que tienen poco o nada, salvo un humilde lugar donde descansar y sueños sin abrir.
Anoté: “Mi canción se llamará "Mírame Un Poco Más Que Aún No Me He Quemado Bastante". Calor. Palabras de Masha a sorbos. Scan de cómo circulan los líquidos por el cuerpo del chico invisible. A sorbos, de ti nada sobra.
Léeme la mente. Verás que tus ojos están ahí mirándome porque no veo que haya nada mejor que hacer en este siglo tan veloz que viajar despacio por tu mirada.”
I had in mind a song that would be 2 songs indeed. One song –first part- that would be a naughty suggestive slow tune mixing words of intimacy and how to be closer before frontiers and then a ‘Coda’ –second part- that I wanted to be a celebrebation in crescendo of that momentum when one look is just all what you need and what’s worth in this crazy fast world. I sent both tracks to Tom Hedrick, he created a new instrumentation for them and making sound his piano and bass and guitar with such inspiration he made the song explode like my wish was.
(Read my mind. You will see your eyes are there looking at me because I can’t think of anything better to do in this fast century than taking a slow trip through your look")
