BONUS TRACK # 2

ABOUT WINE (Spanish & English story)

No existían fronteras.
I wrote this poem in 1997 for my book “Eclipse”. Some months later, I read it with musicians like an improvisation of bass, percusión and voice. When Andrew Austin read the poem he told me he wanted to get my voice and add his music (a wonderful amazing work of keyboards, bass, loops) and a passionate trumpet part played by the great Art Lip.
I remember I wrote this poem In Fabruary and we were probably listening to Coleman Hawkins as we were under blankets drinking wine after a long motorcycle ride (Didí).
February is a small short month. In February some great and febrile things have happened. Our only hope is some rare unusual kind of love save us. Every Month should have its own story. To open April. To eroticize January. February is so short it lasts more than any other month. My short brief story is a real February dream. There were no frontiers. All people were from nowhere and everybody was from anywhere. A stowaway day of February your lips were close to me –it was a leap day really- and I almost passed out feeling the bliss. Your eyes turned to mine at the speed of the wind in Uranus and we danced until waking up.
