about
Anoté: “Mi canción se llamará "Mírame Un Poco Más Que Aún No Me He Quemado Bastante". Calor.
I had in mind a song that would be 2 songs indeed. One song –first part- that would be a naughty suggestive slow tune mixing words of intimacy and how to be closer before frontiers and then a ‘Coda’ –second part- that I wanted to be a celebrebation in crescendo of that momentum when one look is just all what you need and what’s worth in this crazy fast world. I sent both tracks to Tom Hedrick, he created a new instrumentation for them and making sound his piano and bass and guitar with such inspiration he made the song explode like my wish was.
(Read my mind. You will see your eyes are there looking at me because I can’t think of anything better to do in this fast century than taking a slow trip through your look")
Fernando Garcin, 2019.
lyrics
CADA VEZ MÁS CERCA (coda)
Mírame un poco más
Mírame un poco más…
que aún no me he quemado bastante…
Ahora que estoy cada vez más cerca
Ahora que estás cada vez más cerca
Mírame, verás que…
No tengo nada mejor que hacer
en este siglo tan veloz
que pasear despacio
por tu mirada
You’ ll see
I have nothing better to do
in this so fast century
than to take a slow walk thru your look
No digas nada, solo sonríe
que aún no me he quemado bastante…
Mírame un poco más
que aún no me he quemado bastante…
Mírame…
Cada vez más cerca

“Remind Me Tomorrow” is a great leap into new territory for Van Etten stylistically, but there isn’t a single moment of distrust in her abilities as a songwriter to be found—nor is there any mistaking her trademark voice. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jan 14, 2019
