BONUS TRACK # 3
When I was in Woodstock in 2009, visiting my friends Russell and Dorota, the perfect hosts, I hadn’t time to write a word. It was not my purpose anyway. Life comes first. It’s hard to sum up all the experiences and feelings I had during those days of Spring. Based on some notes and memories, and fascinated by what one kitchen in the country means as crossing point, as house-train station where everything may happen –it reminds me the kitchen of my grandfathers in Siete Aguas- I wrote these lyrics and Carlos Carrasco composed a music and suggested me to record the song playing his dulcimer. This take was recorded with the dulcimer and one guitar. For Kaktus. For Dorota, Russell & Robin. Lyrics talkin' about my trip to Woodstock and the beautiful days being there.

lyrics
THE CARROUSEL KITCHEN
A kettle sings / The rice boils / in the kitchen where everything happens / A look in the fridge / while the voices hug your back / like it’s nothing / in the carrousel kitchen
The cat jumps on the table / Glasses fly to lips / in the kitchen where everything happens / Some wars were lost / The innocent gesture saves you from the burn / There’s no money in the hat / The wind in the porch is on your side / (in the carrousel kitchen)
A cold breeze comes from the mountains / bThe boy in the grey coat plays the kazoo in the town / green / When the suns comes out you’ll get back
in the red car on the road to Bearsville / Looking to the sky with a bloody nose /and painted hands
we could have some fun / or we could let it pass
The band plays on the tape / The sauce is ready to fight / in the kitchen when everything happens / Two kegs of petrol / and an old guitar that speaks / like the wrath of God / The river flows near with faraway dreams / The sea is in your eyes and stays there / in the kitchen where everything happens
the carrousel kitchen
